Social Inclusion & Protection

PIN is committed to the principles of inclusion and maximum community involvement in all program processes, it is the Social Inclusion and Protection sector that has become the basis for all our interventions. PIN is an open and transparent organization and that's why the organization involves communities at all stages of project implementation - from the stage of the project development to the presentation of the results achieved.

Through focus groups and open discussions, PIN was able to involve different social, age, ethnic and other groups. Implementing the basic provisions of protection inclusion principles in all types of programs, PIN interacts with representatives of various population groups. Through grant support for community initiatives, PIN implements a variety of mini-projects initiated by both the communities themselves and local NGOs. This contributes to a significant activation of the communities, as well as has a positive effect on the interaction between local authorities and society.

The establishment of "Child-Friendly Spaces" allowed to reach children living in the frontline locations and help them not only to organize their leisure time, but also to help coping with stress. Using various techniques, in a playful and accessible form, the team of PIN psychologists was able to create an atmosphere of trust and joy. Such activities encourage not only children but also their parents, helping them to overcome different life circumstances together.

Much attention is paid to providing psycho-social support for various groups. This includes conducting individual and group sessions, organizing targeted training to improve the skills of employees of educational and social institutions, conducting open discussions to identify basic needs. Particular attention is paid to the prevention of burnout among social workers, teachers and humanitarian workers. PIN specialists have developed and successfully implemented several author's trainings in this field. Thanks to methodological and training support, a large number of specialists involved in the field of psycho-social assistance were able to improve their knowledge and, as a result, provide more qualified assistance.

During its operation, PIN has been able to engage a large number of local volunteers who successfully support their communities. By increasing their potential, PIN employees create an opportunity for them to be social workers, thus maintaining the quality of social services in the field. PIN has also established and maintains partnerships with local NGOs, building their capacity and passing on its own experience and expertise. PIN is open to cooperation with various interested organizations to help improve the quality of service and expand opportunities for all interested.

One of the achievements in this sector is that PIN has established the Psychological Support Helpline. The team of professional psychologists is providing support to thousands of people via the helpline 24/7.

PIN maintains close contact with various departments and other organizations working in the sector through cluster meetings.
